I had an interesting meeting with Steve Slater and John Viner yesterday at Turweston. Subjects included rotor blades for the self build fleet, continuing airworthiness for the factory fleets, minor and major mod. approvals.This meeting is to be followed up with meetings within the LAA and board and between the LAA and CAA in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully over the summer there will be news of how the LAA can offer enhanced services to its gyro owning members. However (as always) aviation change takes time and the LAA is operating close to capacity but, as we've seen in the last year, they are bringing in new resources.
